Today is the first day of fall. Here in the Desert Southwest fall is a subtle change that follows our fifth season, the monsoon. Tucsonans start to venture out more as the mornings and evenings cool off and everyone starts thinking about the projects that need to be done before Thanksgiving. I will be thinking about color almost constantly. Here is some natural and interior inspiration...
I snapped this picture on the way to San Diego on a hot, hot late July day. I keep coming back to the incredible hues and natural composition created by the various sage plants as they dry out in the desert sun. Painted against the stunning mountains the landscape is almost surreal.
These pale colors are so inspiring, here's a shot of some velvet samples I just got in..
Just like pretty pictures, I'll be referring to this palette frequently as I order furniture, pick paint colors and figure out lighting. Enjoy this first day of fall!
